George McDonald
AVP, Commercial Lender
George is a seasoned member of the commercial lending team with more than 10 years of experience in banking. He takes pride in having a comprehensive understanding of the needs of his clients, having worked across multiple disciplines in banking. Since joining MainStreet Bank in 2019, George has advanced steadily to his current role as a commercial lender, having previously served as credit analyst/underwriter and portfolio manager in commercial lending. His decade of banking experience has given him invaluable knowledge and insights into how each department of a bank functions, and he leverages this knowledge
for the benefit of his clients.
George is a lifelong NOVA resident and a 2015 graduate with a BBA in Business Management and Economics from Radford University. During his tenure at Radford, he was the President of Skeet & Trap Team and served on the Dean’s Advisory Board.
He is an active member of both The Virginia Bankers Association and The Risk Management Association. George is currently attending the VBA School of Bank Management, a multidimensional educational experience in banking.
