Art is a seasoned commercial lender who is passionate about understanding and meeting the needs of small and midsize businesses, government contractors, and nonprofits. He is also extremely well-versed in commercial real estate lending and excels at credit analysis.
Art joined MainStreet Bank in 2023, bringing decades of experience in banking across the Washington Metropolitan region. He has held senior commercial lending positions in local, regional, and national financial services companies since 2004, focusing on small businesses, commercial and industrial loans, and credit analysis. Through these experiences, Art has built a loyal following of customers, reflecting his ability to help them solve their most pressing and complicated financial challenges. He is always happy to work with new customers at any stage in their growth journey.
Art previously worked for 14 years as a management consultant, performing profitability studies for corporations worldwide, including Latin America and Europe. He parlays that experience into his work with banking clients, bringing an analytical focus to their balance sheets, business plans, and strategies.
Earlier in his career, Art spent more than a decade in private banking, retail banking, and bank operations for some of the leading financial institutions in the Washington Metropolitan region.
Art is a graduate of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Winston Churchill High School. He is fluent in Spanish.
