With nearly 15 years of local banking experience, Marcus Suleiman combines deep professional knowledge with a personable and genuine approach to working with customers. He is passionate about building long-term banking relationships and providing clients with the personalized service and tailored advice they need to truly thrive.
Marcus joined the MainStreet Bank Business Banking team in 2026, excited to make a difference at a bank rooted in the community he calls home. While originally from New York, he has spent most of his life in the greater Washington, D.C. area. He is an alumnus of Oakton High School, Northern Virginia Community College, and George Mason University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business management.
He got his professional start in sales before moving into banking in 2012. Marcus worked his way up from branch banking, taking on positions in commercial lending, treasury management, and business banking. His comprehensive background has not only given him valuable firsthand experience working with a wide variety of services, but also an expert eye for helping customers reach their financial goals. He enjoys connecting with a diverse range of clients and is conversational in Arabic and Spanish.
Outside of the office, Marcus loves spending time with his family and cheering for local sports teams. As an active member of his community, he has spent over a decade volunteering his time to coach youth sports, leading his daughters’ basketball, volleyball, and soccer teams.
