Mike Pontikis
SVP, Senior Business Banker
Mike Pontikis brings a passion for community service and problem-solving to his role as Senior Vice President and Senior Business Banker at MainStreet Bank. He joined the MainStreet Bank business banking team in 2025 and is dedicated to helping customers find solutions to meet their financial goals and make the most out of their hard-earned resources.
With over 15 years of banking experience, Mike got his start working in personal finance before being hired by a large, national bank. But when he later began working for a smaller local bank, he discovered a love for community banking and its customer-oriented culture.
Mike is especially passionate about helping small businesses in the community succeed and grow. As a Northern Virginia native and the son of a small business owner, he has a deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication required of business owners in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Having watched the region change and evolve over the years, he brings an expert knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by different local communities.
He graduated from the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management in 2023. He is an active volunteer with Loudoun Habitat for Humanity, where he has served in a variety of roles from a home buying coach to chair of the board of directors.
