The C.G. Woodson Athletic Boosters are proud to announce a new partnership with MainStreet Bank that has provided additional necessary funds for the purchase of a new state-of-the-art scoreboard at C.G. Woodson High School’s stadium.

The new scoreboard represents a significant investment in Woodson’s athletic facilities and will enhance the game-day experience for student-athletes, families, fans and the greater Woodson community. The scoreboard will serve the school’s numerous athletic programs and community events held in the stadium throughout the year.

The project was made possible through the generous support of MainStreet Bank and its commitment to investing in the communities it serves.

“We are incredibly grateful to MainStreet Bank for making this project possible,” said David L. Marks, president of the C.G Woodson Athletic Boosters. “A new scoreboard has been an important goal for our athletic community, but also a significant investment for the Boosters to undertake. MainStreet Bank stepped up in a meaningful way, and their partnership will have an impact on our student-athletes and the Woodson community for many years to come.”

The partnership reflects MainStreet Bank’s longstanding focus on supporting local organizations and strengthening the communities where its customers and employees live and work.

The new scoreboard will be unveiled on Thursday, September 3, before the 7 p.m. varsity football game at Woodson’s Pat Cunningham Stadium.

The project is part of the C.G. Woodson Athletic Boosters’ broader mission to enhance the athletic experience for Woodson students. Booster support helps fund improvements and resources across Woodson athletics, including facility enhancements, equipment and uniforms, senior recognition, student scholarships, technology and other needs that directly benefit Woodson teams and student-athletes.

“This partnership is a great example of what can happen when our local business community and school community work together,” added Marks. “We’re excited to see the scoreboard in action and proud to have MainStreet Bank as a partner in supporting Woodson athletics.”

The C.G. Woodson Athletic Boosters is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing athletic programs at C.G. Woodson High School. Through sponsorships, donations, fundraising, and community partnerships, the Boosters provide resources that benefit Woodson student-athletes, teams, and athletic facilities.
